This is how I see my life now. My work commitments this year have increased; to a point that I feel a sense of gloom whenever I think of it. It does not help that multi-tasking has never been my strength. I like life to be organised, but because of the increased workload, I feel that life has become a chaotic affair and out of my control. Today, as I was sharing this with my mentor, I made an unconscious remark ; "In the midst of gloom, God is the only bright spot.". I did not realise the wisdom of my words. My own words have encouraged me and brought with it some joy. Then I remembered Matthew 11:28-30; ""Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." (The Message) The unforced rhythms of grace. How beautiful is that. Somehow I am reminded God's grace will be sufficient for me everyday. He is indeed a bright spot in my life!
